they/them
Jemma Bullock has been a part of Iowa QSA since its founding in January 2023 and became the Executive Director in May of 2024. Jemma is a junior at Iowa State University, studying Landscape Architecture. They were on the Iowa State University Dean's List in Spring 2024.

Throughout all of high school and college, Jemma has been involved in activism. Before they joined QSA, they were a founder of a similar organization in Iowa. They have been involved in politics for most of their life, since their dad took them door-knocking in 2014.

Outside of politics, Jemma has also devoted their life to not only schooling, but the arts as well. They have been involved in choir, band, and theater since middle school, and has brought that passion with them into their college career. They are now a student leader for a treble voice acapella group on ISU campus, and has had the pleasure of performing at the International Competition of Collegete Acapella for the past 3 years (yes, it is literally just Pitch Perfect).

Jemma received the Mannheimer Youth Advocacy Award in 2024 from the Iowa ACLU for helping organize walkouts and rallies in Iowa for QSA. They were awarded the City of Ankeny Youth of the Year Award during their senior year of high school.

Jemma's commitment to advocacy and education drives their work towards fostering inclusive communities and empowering marginalized voices.
